This year marks the first time the Johnson County Commissioners are playing a direct role in allocating a portion of the 1% funds.
Historically, the 1% funding board reviews all requests and uses the funds allocated by both the city and the county.

At its meeting next week, requests from county government entities will be reviewed by the Commission.
Of the $900K allocated by the Commission, approximately $225,000 will be approved directly by the county’s governing board.
