The Johnson County Commission was accused of being “morally wrong” in moving excess 1% tax revenue to the general fund
During yesterday’s Commission meeting, local citizen Bill Dooley fired a barrage of questions to Diane Cox of the accounting firm Porter, Muirhead, Cornia, and & Howard following her overview of the county’s annual audit.
During his questioning, Dooley called the county’s health insurance plan a “golden parachute” before getting to the heart of his objections to the county’s financial management…
Commission Chairman Bill Novotny was asked to comment on Dooley’s accusation…
Interestingly, Dooley also applauded the Commissioner for maintaining the county’s fiscal health.
