Funeral services for Jason Strom 61 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Friday at his home in Buffalo, will be held Saturday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Neil Livingston officiating.  Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with the VFW and American Legion in charge of military graveside honors.

Donations in Jason’s memory may be made to the Jason Strom Memorial, a fund set up to help defray final expenses.

Jason Arthur Strom was born on September 16, 1956 in Moorehead, Minnesota to Robert and Elaine Strom.  He grew up in Hawley, Minnesota where he went to school and graduated from Hawley High School with the class of 1974. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served in Pensacola, Florida.  Following an honorable discharge he moved to California where he was motorcycle mechanic.  He moved to Buffalo in 1986 where was a small engine and motorcycle mechanic.  He continued living in Buffalo until his death.

Jason loved to ride motorcycles and snowmobiles.  He raced motor cross as a youth.  He spent time as a ski patrol in Hawley, Minnesota

He is survived by two sisters, Sandy Thomas of Long Prairie, Minnesota and Judy Jones and her husband Greg of Old Mexico; four nephews, Joshua Nelson of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Robert Strom of South Dakota, Eric Thomas of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Curtis Thomas of Saukcentre, Minnesota and one niece Brittney Roden of Big Lake, Minnesota.  He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Keith and Wiley Strom.
