Hunting season is upon us!

Bud Stewart, Public Information Specialist with the Wyoming Game & Fish Department in Sheridan announced that archery season opened one week ago in several hunt areas Johnson County.

Area 17 in Johnson County will open on September 1st, along with several areas in Sheridan County.

There are a few areas that won’t open until September 15th and hunters are encouraged to visit the department’s website, www.wgfd.gov.

 

Stewart also is warning hunters that the early season temperatures could adversely affect harvested game meat…

Hunters are also reminded that an archery license is needed, along with a conservation stamp in Wyoming.
