Ileene Bernice Weber Wolfe, 91, of Sheridan passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her home with her family by her side.

Ileene was born on October 12, 1926 to parents Max George and Irene Bernice (Hays) Weber in Big Horn, WY and was raised in Ranchester, WY. This is also where she fell in love with softball and her husband E.W. “Buck” Wolfe. They eloped to Hardin, MT on September 3, 1945 and began their life adventure. They had two daughters Linda Wolfe Legg and Bonnie Wolfe Vogt born in Sheridan, WY.

In 1953, they moved to Fairbanks, AK. She continued her love of softball and helped start the women’s league in Fairbanks. She worked as a meat cutter and wrapper for over thirty years. In the 80’s they moved back to Sheridan, WY.

Ileene was preceded in death by her parents Max and Irene Weber, husband Buck Wolfe, daughter Linda Legg, and grandson Jaime Legg. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Rod) Vogt of Fairbanks, AK, blessed with her grandchildren Michael (Sarah) Vogt, Gary (Jackie) Vogt, Denise Heagney, five great grandchildren Michael, Alex, McKayla, Robert, Connor, and her two fur babies, Rudy and Ariel.

She also had three extended families in her long life. The Shier’s and the Nelson’s in Fairbanks, and the Harnish’s in Sheridan. I want to thank them for the love and support through her life. She loved you dearly. Also, thank you Dr. Hugh Batty for years of excellent care, and to the Newbold Home Care LLC, Tracy and Dee.
