SHERIDAN, WY— Interstate 90 between Ranchester and Hardin remains closed as of Monday morning. According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the road was closed at the request of Montana’s Department of Transportation due to flooding near Crow Agency, MT.

According to MDOT, flooding on I-90 continues with the heaviest areas  between mile-marker 504 and 509. With flooding continuing, MDOT is asking motorists to “find an alternate route until further notice.”

MDOT said they are monitoring the flooding and will re-open the Interstate when it is safe to do so. Several MDOT vehicles are in the affected reigon directing local traffic to the best of their abilities. Over 150ft of roadway was reported to be under several inches of water, with the frontage roads submerged over a foot.

WYDOT is redirecting all I-90 traffic heading towards Montana to WY-338, better known as Decker Rd, and then to US-212 near Busby to Hardin.

WY-345 is closed to thru traffic from Ranchester to Garryowen due to flooding as well.
