Henry Joseph Lupiezowietz, 86, peacefully passed away December 1st, surrounded by his family, at Mountain View Living Center at Fort Mackenzie. Hank was born in Sheridan to Polish immigrants Joseph Lupiezowietz and Johanna Boyko Lupiezowietz. He will be remembered as a loving son, devoted husband, dedicated father, grand and great grandfather, loyal friend, and friendly stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alva ‘Tina’ Sheldon Lupiezowietz; his daughters-Terri (Christine) Lupiezowietz, Patti (Troy) Hayes, and Tammy (Joe) Johnson; Grandchildren-Chelsea, Shelby, Sarah, Amy and Chance; Great grandsons-Hartley and Asher, with two more on the way (all of Colorado); and dear friend Ron Murray.

Hank was a man of faith and longtime member of Holy Name Catholic Church. He and Tina gave much time and energy to the church and helping anyone they could. He was quite the handyman, building nearly half of the house he raised his family in, not to mention the myriad of woodworking projects he meticulously produced. Hank was member of Elks Lodge #520; he went up through the ranks to Exalted Ruler. Hank enjoyed cars & motorcycles, gardening, and photography. None of these, however, took any precedence over his family and dear friends.

Hank served in the United States Army Reserve, at Camp Roberts, California. He studied engineering and drafting at Sheridan College, where he also played a mean game of basketball. He worked for the City of Sheridan in the Water Department, before settling into his role with the Veteran’s Administration Engineering Department. HL Sharpening kept him busy after he retired.

There will be a funeral Mass at Holy Name Catholic Church, Monday, December 10, 2018, at 10:00 AM. A lunch reception will follow in the Parish Center and burial at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A Rosary at Kane Funeral Home is Sunday, December 9 at 6:00 PM. Though Hank loved flowers, we ask in lieu of, to donate to Holy Name Catholic Church or a charity of choice in his name.

The Lupiezowietz Family would like to thank the caring staffs at Sheridan Memorial Hospital Emergency and ICU, Sheridan VA Medical Center, and Mountain View Living Center, and all the wonderful family, friends, and neighbors that have reached out to Hank and Tina in their lives.
