Funeral services for Greg Johnson, 69 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Thursday at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming, will be held Saturday December 2nd at 2:00 from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Mike Verdetto officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday November 21st from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel.  Donations in Mr. Johnson’s memory may be made to the Greg Johnson Memorial, a fund set up to help the family defray final expenses.  Online condolences may be made at www.harnessfuneralhome.com

Gregory Carl Johnson was born on November 10, 1948 in San Francisco, California to Donald and Vivian Johnson.  He grew up and went to school in Pacifica, California and graduated from Pacifica High School with the class of 1966.  He joined the U.S. Navy in July of 1967 and served in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.  He received an honorable discharge in January of 1971 and returned to California where he attended college and received a degree as a paralegal.  He was married in March of 2001 in Redding, California to the love of his life, Kathleen Clark and they made their home in Redding where Greg was a paralegal.  They later moved to Portland, Oregon where they lived for a few years before moving to Buffalo, Wyoming in 2011.  They continued living in Buffalo until his death.

Greg was an avid fisherman and loved spending time camping in the mountains. His passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen of Buffalo; three sons, Matthew Jacobsen and Dwight Jacobsen both of Buffalo and Ryan Johnson of San Jose, California; two daughters Tiffany Johnson and her husband Corey Hamilton of Buffalo and Jamie Jacobsen and her husband Jonathan Rickerd also of Buffalo; one brother Ron Johnson of Pacifica, California and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Steven and one grandson, Gregory Carl Hamilton.
