A 30-year-old Gillette woman has pleaded not guilty to stealing from the clients of the adult community corrections center in Gillette operated by the Volunteers of America.
Yelizaveta “Lisa” Zolotova is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from the incarcerated clients of the work-release program over a 3-year period.
A felony theft conviction would carry a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
Zolotova apparently resigned last June after being questioned over discrepancies in the residents’ accounts.
