Gillette, WY— The Wyoming Game and Fish Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle that was seen in the area where several poached deer have been found.
On March 31, 2019, South Gillette Game Warden Levi Wood responded to a report of a dead mule deer on the Edwards Road south of Wright. He discovered the deer had been shot multiple times and the antlers were removed.
Twelve additional carcasses were later found that had also been shot sometime between the end of March and early April and left along roadways south and east of Wright.
Witnesses report seeing two young male occupants in a dark-colored, 4-door Dodge flatbed pickup with blue LED headlights, in the area where several of the deer were found and who may have information about the incidents.

Anyone reporting a tip can remain anonymous. Individuals submitting information leading to a conviction can be eligible for a monetary reward of up to $5,000 through the Wyoming Wildlife Protector’s Association.
