Graveside Funeral Services for Fred Wallace, 87 year old Buffalo resident who passed away early Tuesday  May 14 at the Legacy Living Center in Gillette, will be held Monday, May 20th at 10:00 a.m. in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo with Reverend Paul Gilbert officiating.  Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Fred Raymond Wallace was born on October 27, 1931 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Raymond and Dorothy Wallace. He grew up and went to school in Grand Rapids and graduated from Creston High School in Grand Rapids with the class of 1950.  After high school Fred joined the U.S. Air Force and trained as an airplane mechanic.  He served at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was married on July 3, 1958 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Marilyn “Molly” Taylor and they made their home in Wyoming, Michigan where Fred was a foreman in a furniture factory.  Fred retired in 1986 and in 1991 they moved to Buffalo where they lived until his death.

Fred was a member of the American Legion.  He loved to work and spent many hours working on his house and in his yard.

He is survived by his wife Molly Wallace of Buffalo; two sisters, Betty Burrie and Vera Mae Nyhoff both of Michigan; two nephews, John Burrie and Curtis Thompson.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
