Funeral services for Lois Nuckolls, 94-year-old Buffalo resident, who passed away December 18th at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be held at Saturday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home chapel in Buffalo with Reverend Tom Saur officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 29th, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Donations in Loie may be made to Laradon Hall, Denver, CO; a school specializing in individualized services to children and adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities, supporting their independence in daily life and maximizing their full potential.  Please send donations in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Ethel Lois (Loie) Nuckolls was born May 3, 1923 on the G-G Ranch near Hulett, Wyoming.  She grew up in the Hulett area and graduated from Hulett High School in 1941.  After high school she moved to Denver, CO and attended beauty school.  She was a beautician for 70+ years and still had a few customers at the age of 90.  At that time, she moved back to Wyoming and lived with her brother, nieces and nephews.

 

Loie was an active member in the United Methodist Church and a member of the choir.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and on a bowling league for many years.  Loie enjoyed her customers but she cherished her 18 nieces and nephews and loved them all as if they were her own children.

 

She is survived by one brother, J. W. Nuckolls and his wife Thea of Hulett; and her nieces and nephews:  Cliff Nuckolls, Terry Gibbs and Myra Camino and her husband Tom all of Buffalo; Monte Neiman of Hulett; Dana Rae Neiman and Craig Neiman, both of Sacramento, CA; Jeanne DeVries and her husband Roger, and Larry Heiser of Hastings, NE; Betty Maseberg and her husband Tim of Thedford, NE; Carol Deathridge and her husband Lee of Hot Springs, SD; Steve Silan of Denver, CO; Nan Neiman and her husband Tom and Dawn Brengle and her husband Shannon of Gillette; Zeta Anderson and her husband Gary and Will Nuckolls and his wife Laura of Hulett; Sam Nuckolls and his wife Christy of Texas; 30 great nieces and nephews and 14 great- great nieces and nephews. Loie was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, Art Edwards, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 nephews.
