Educational Funding May Force Special Session

There are competing bills in the legislature’s House and Senate being discussed this week on how to fund the education shortfall.
On Thursday morning, State Representative Mike Madden once again spoke of HB236 "5-80" plan that includes administrative cuts, funds from the severance tax, more from the rainy day fund but also a revenue package as well…
He went on to comment that the Senate’ education bill is significantly different…
The disparity between the two could result in the establishment of task force and subsequent special legislative session later this year.
The current session ends on March 2^nd.
