Graveside funeral services for Edith Sarver, 91 year old lifetime Buffalo resident who passed away Saturday evening at Sheridan Manor in Sheridan, will be held Wednesday, October 24th at 10:00 a.m. in Willow Grove Cemetery with Pastor Court Riddle officiating. Donations in Edith’s memory may be made to the New Life Assembly of God Church Youth Program in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Edith Ellen Sarver was born October 7, 1927 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Charles and Lulu Buxton. She grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1945. After high school she went to work for Western Union in Casper and California. She was married on April 25, 1967 in Buffalo to Henry Sarver and they made their home in Canton, Ohio where Henry worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad as an engineer. They retired in 1981 and moved to Buffalo. Henry passed away in August of 2015 and Edith continued living in Buffalo until her death. She had been a resident of Sheridan Manor for one year.
Edith was a member of Shell Creek-Piney Homemakers for many years. She volunteered as a Grey Lady and was a Bingo volunteer both in Canton and in Buffalo.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Kenny and Warren Buxton.
