This is merely a report on how well local businesses did over the Longmire Weekend.  Obviously, the event means more than money to the community!!   A thriving national economy came to Buffalo over the weekend in the wallets and purses of Longmire fans.

Several area businesses reported strong sales over the 4-day event.

Additionally, a number of vendors at the Lovin’ Junkin’ Craft Fair held outside Bomber Mountain Civic Center indicated that this year’s Longmire Days was the best in recent years.

ReRide’s Kami Kennedy the Longmire crowd “is friendly and arrives with smiling faces each year and really enjoys being in Buffalo”.

It’s too early to report on sales tax revenue generated over the weekend, but every indication points to very positive numbers for Johnson County.

In recent years, Longmire weekends have generated close to $5 Million in revenue for Johnson County and Buffalo and there is hope that this year could be even better.
