Dorothy (Toland) Sanders, 91, of Buffalo, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Johnson County Heathcare Center with her family with her.
Dorothy was born on September 7, 1925 in Sheridan, WY to parents Joseph and Lenore Toland. She married Clifford Jess Sanders on January 2, 1950. They had three children, Christine Sanders-Meena, Scott Sanders and Carol Sanders. Clifford proceeded her in death on December 21, 2008.
Dorothy loved her cabin in the Big Horn mountains, where she enjoyed fishing. She enjoyed travel – going on an African safari, visiting the Mayan ruins of Tikal in Guatemala, visiting Malaysia, Indonesia, Costa Rica and England, and cruising Alaska’s Inland Passage – all in her 70’s and 80’s.
Dorothy is preceded by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her children, Christine Sanders-Meena of Redmond, WA, Scott Sanders of Billings, MT and Carol Sanders of Big Horn, WY, her son-in-law, Jay Meena of Redmond, WA, her daughter-in-law Amy Sanders of Billings, MT, and her grandchildren, Nathan (Kristy), Linds (Brian), Jess, Olivia and Katherine.
Dorothy’s request was to be cremated and not have services.
Dorothy loved animals and memorials to honor her can be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter, 109 Flatiron Dr., Buffalo, WY 82834.
