The Great Diamond Hoax Presentation

In the early 1870s the Great Diamond Hoax took place in Southern Wyoming and is still considered one of the greatest scams in Western American history. The impact and legacy of this elaborate fraud is still part of Western American politics and money to this day and continues to affect the way we bank in Wyoming, Montana, and Nevada.
Local historian Mike Brown will be at the Fulmer Library on Thursday, May 9 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. to share his research about this fascinating moment in Wyoming history.
