At last week’s Johnson County Commission meeting, a local resident accused the board of hiding a portion of the 1% tax revenue that wasn’t allocated to non-government entities and put the funds into the general fund.

Johnson County is one of the few counties in Wyoming who choose to allocate tax revenue to non-governmental organizations.
According to Assistant County Attorney Barry Crago, the Commission’s decision to do so falls within the guidelines of Wyoming Statutes.
