Johnson County Emergency Management decided to use last week’s statewide Earthquake Drill to test their Code Red emergency notification system.  Emergency management Coordinator, Marilyn Conley said by issuing this test they can determine their call success rate.  Conley also stated that she would like to see more Johnson County residents enrolled in the system.

Code Red is the Alert and Warning System for Johnson County residents.  In the event of an emergency anyone signed up for Code Red will get a message sent to their phone notifying them of the situation and will contain instructions if the situation warrants such activity.  If you’re not enrolled for Code Red notifications you can do so by logging on to www.JohnsonCountyWyoming.org; scroll to the bottom of the page and follow the prompts for Code Red.
