The sale of the three mines in Wyoming and Montana owned by Cloud Peak Energy Corp. was approved by a federal judge.
Under a deal approved yesterday by US Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross in Delaware, Navajo Transitional Energy Corp. will pay Cloud Peak $15.7 million for the Antelope and Cordero Rojo mines in Wyoming and the Spring Creek mine in southeastern Montana.
The new owner is based out of Farmington, New Mexico.
