SHERIDAN, WY— The Sheridan City Council will hold a special council meeting tonight to discuss the results of a petition submitted to the city regarding Charter Ordinance 2202, and to establish procedures for a referendum election.

A petition calling for a referendum election on Charter Ordinance 2202 was submitted on September 16, with signatures of more than ten percent (10%) of the number of votes cast in the 2018 general election. Should the public vote to eliminate Charter Ordinance 2202, the City Administrator position would then be eliminated completely only if a majority of council voted to eliminate Charter Ordinance 2158.

The special meeting will begin at 6:30 pm in Council Chambers in City Hall.
