Funeral services for Chuck Buell, 70 year old lifetime Buffalo resident who passed away Friday at the Memorial Hospital in Sheridan, surrounded by his family, will be held Friday October 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center in Buffalo with Jed Fitch officiating.  Visitation will be held at the Harness Funeral Home in Buffalo on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Following the graveside there will be a reception and Live Music at Bomber Mt. Civic Center.  Donations in Chuck’s memory may be made to the Occidental Jam Scholarship in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Charles Edwin Buell Jr. was born on April 14, 1948 in Sheridan to Charles and Pearl Buell.  He grew up and went to school in Buffalo where he graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1966.  After high school he attended WyoTech in Laramie, where he studied diesel and automotive repair.  He was married on June 7, 1969 in Buffalo to Linda DeMontigny and they made their home in Buffalo where Chuck drove truck for Buell Trucking.  He was Johnson County Water Commissioner for 17 years.  He spent his working career trucking and playing country music.  In 1985 they moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he worked for Rose Guitar and built custom guitars for acts such as Randy Travis, Merle Haggard, Leona Williams and other country music personalities. In 1995 Chuck and Linda and family moved back to Buffalo where he lived and worked until his death.

Chuck enjoyed woodworking and rebuilding cars, but his passion was building guitars, playing music and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Linda of Buffalo; one son Geoff and his wife Raegan of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter Amanda Buell of Buffalo; three sisters Sandy Leis and Bonnie Klasinski and her husband John of Buffalo and Jeannie Fitch and her husband Buck of Riggins, Idaho; one brother Robert “Butch” Buell of Buffalo; and two grandchildren Tyler Buell of Nashville and Whitley Buell of Buffalo.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Sharon Knudsvig; a brother-in-law Bill Leis and one granddaughter Chalae Calloway.
