Funeral services for Carl Gunderman, 58 year old Buffalo man who passed away at his home in Buffalo on Monday, will be held Monday, May 1st, 10:00 a.m. at the Big Horn Baptist Church with Pastor Don Paulson officiating.  Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Private family interment will be held in Willow Grove Cemetery.  Donations in Carl’s memory may be made to the Johnson County Family YMCA in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Carl Bergis Gunderman was born on February 25, 1959 in Buffalo where he grew up and went to school.  Carl graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1977 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in November of that same year.  Following an honorable discharge Carl was in the National Guard for many years.  He was married in June of 1989 in Buffalo to Patty Gerdan and they made their home in Buffalo.  Carl attended DeVry University for two years where he received certification as an Electronics Technician.  He worked at the Wyoming Minerals Uranium Mine for several years before taking a job with RT Communications as a Telecommunications Technician.  Ill health forced him to retire in 2016 and he continued living in Buffalo until his death.

Carl was a member of the Moose Lodge where he was also on the board of directors.  He was an excellent softball pitcher and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.

He is survived by his mother Gladys Gunderman of Buffalo; one daughter Alycia Eisenhauer and her husband Nathan of Milton, Florida; two sons Daniel Gunderman and Hamp Gunderman both of Buffalo; one brother Jon Gunderman and his wife Teresa of Rapid City, South Dakota; one sister Lorna Gunderman of Basehor, Kansas and one granddaughter, Amelia Eisenhauer also of Milton, Florida.  He was preceded in death by his dad Tuff Gunderman.
