Buffalo Chamber of Commerce Director Meseret Tegenu and seasonal employees Laura Thorne and Jim Ray spoke to both the Johnson County Commission and the Buffalo City Council earlier this month to provide the seasonal schedule of the visitor center and how important the center is in generating business to Buffalo.
Thorne has worked at the visitor center for 8 years and Ray is in his 9th year and both described the efforts in promoting the area to tourists…
The center is currently open from 11am to 6pm seven days a week. After Memorial Day, the center will open at 9am to 6pm each day through Labor Day weekend.
However, if the tourist season is still active, the center may remain open for as long as visitors keep stopping by.
