The Buffalo Police Department will once again be giving back to the local community by holding their annual “Blue Santa” campaign. The Police Department has been collecting donations from the community throughout the year and have raised over $9,000 that will help 9 local families who are “down on their luck.”

Jason Carder, Police Chief of the Buffalo Police Department, who is also responsible for starting the campaign 8 years ago, was on Big Horn Mountain Radio Network’s Community Speaks program to elaborate on the program.

Carder went on to explain that the department is still looking for donations, as the giving doesn’t stop after Christmas. He said that starting the program with the police department was his way of “paying it forward.”

Carder said that if anyone has additional donations for the program or would like to help out, they can go to the the police department, or email the department at: bpd.bluesanta@jcle.us
