During last week’s city council meeting, Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder announced his department’s receipt of two grants that fund the alcohol and tobacco checks for the coming year.

Yesterday, Chief Carder appeared on the KBBS Morning Show to explain how the checks are conducted…

In years past, 20 visits might have generated more than a dozen failed checks.

However, after years of training and conducting the regular compliance checks, a failed check is rare.

Carder credits the TIPS training offered through Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming as helping to create the current environment of success.
