Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder is warning local residents of more illegal scams to be aware of.

According to Carder, the scams either seek funds for family or friends who are having legal issues or concerning alleged unpaid utility bills…

Anyone receiving such calls should contact law enforcement immediately.

It’s time once again for Drug Take Back Day, an opportunity for local residents to gather unused or expired prescription medications and turn them in during the event that happens twice every year, according to Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder…

Sponsored by the Buffalo Police Department, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, the Wyoming Department of Health and the Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming, the drug take back program reduces the likelihood of those drugs falling into the hands of the wrong people.

Unused medication such as heart medicine can often be repackaged and return to Johnson County for individuals at a much lower cost.

The program is scheduled from 10am to 2pm this Saturday at Shopko.
