During yesterday’s press conference with Ankur Gopal, the CEO for Interapt, Buffalo Mayor Mike Johnson was asked about the risks the city and Johnson County may have accepted in funding the initial training phase of the company’s expansion to the city…

Gopal minimized the risk taken by indicating that his company was willing to do everything possible to make it work.

Interapt’s workforce development initiative focuses on skilling up economically depressed regions by teaching underemployed residents how to code mobile apps and be guaranteed employment upon completion of the program.

This new initiative is in the planning phase followed by an application period with a 6-month training program a goal for the fall semester at Sheridan College in Johnson County.
