The Wyoming House of Representatives overwhelmingly supported Buffalo as the site for the state’s skilled nursing facility for veterans when HB128 was sent to the Senate for consideration.

Choosing a smaller town over Casper or Sheridan had less to do with available workforce and more with the quality of life offered to veterans at Fort McKinney.

The bill is scheduled for Senate hearings this week and it is expected to be introduced to the full Senate sometime next week.
