Beverly Jean (Jacobs) Rhodes, 75 years of age, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital after fighting ovarian cancer for five years.  Beverly was born January, 7, 1944 to Dorothy and Ralph Jacobs in Sheridan, Wy.  She was raised in Leiter, Wyoming on the family ranch until the family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where she graduated from Sheridan High School.  Beverly’s joys in life were reading, crocheting and caring for her horses and cats.  She was totally devoted to her family.  Beverly was employed at Salt Creek Freightways, City of Sheridan for 26 years and Walmart for 12 years.  Beverly was preceded in death by her sisters; Elizabeth (Jacobs) Reimers (Gene), Joan Jacobs and her brother John Jacobs.  Beverly is survived by her husband Joseph Rhodes whom she married May 21, 1998, son Gregory Jacobs (Cindy) Billings, Mt., beloved grandson Derek Jacobs, Beverly’s last and oldest cousin, Gladys Esponda, Buffalo, Wy., who actually named her Beverly over the objection of her brother Johnny.  Sister in law Romona Jacobs Sheridan, Wy., stepdaughter Katherine Rhodes, stepson James Rhodes, nieces; Leslie (Reimers) Carter (Troy), Margaret (Jacobs) Michelena, nephews; Clinton Reimers, Jerry Reimers, Donald Reimers (Kim), Cleve Jacobs (Shirley), Jack Jacobs (Ruth) and numerous great nephews and nieces that will truly miss her. Visitation will be held Sunday July 21, 2019 at Champion Funeral Home from the hours of 3 to 5 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday July 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father Glenn at Holy Name Catholic Church. An interment will be taking place directly after in Juniper Heights, Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall.
