Betty Lee Banks was born to Glenn and Etta Groover, at the Groover Family Homestead north of Haxtun, Colorado, on March 14, 1923. Her grandfather James Groover and her father Glenn settled the homestead in 1908.
She is survived by one son, Glenn Banks and his wife Patricia of Casper, Wyoming; two daughters, Cheryl Swaim and her husband Jerry, and Dixie Swaim and her husband W.G., all of Buffalo; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and 2 brothers, the brothers were twins and one died at birth.
