Late last month, both the Johnson County Commission and the Buffalo City Council passed separate resolutions paving the way for a 1% sales tax bond issue to go to the voters in this year’s August primary.

The Johnson County Community Improvement Plan is an effort to deal with the long-term sustainability of 9 taxpayer-owned properties in the county, the City of Buffalo, and the Town of Kaycee.

Now that it has officially identified as ballot issue, representatives of boards, commission, and foundations are voicing support for the plan.
