Funeral services for Alvina Curutchet 95 year old Buffalo woman who passed away Tuesday morning at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, will be held Tuesday, October 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Father Carl Beavers officiating.  Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Donations in Alvina’s memory may be made to the Johnson County Family YMCA in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Alvina Elizabeth Curutchet was born on October 22, 1922 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Heinrich and Lillian Petrie. Her father passed away when Alvina was very young and she moved with her mother and two brothers to Buffalo, Wyoming.  Alvina went to the Parsons Country School in the Red Hills area.  She attended Johnson County High School and graduated with the class of 1940.  She was married on July 2, 1941 in Sterling, Colorado to Arnaud Curutchet and they raised sheep on the family ranch east of Buffalo for many years.  Mr. Curutchet passed away in January of 1965 and Alvina continued living on the ranch with her son Arnaud James until her death.   Alvina enjoyed hooking rugs, collecting antiques and was an excellent cook.

She is survived by one son, Arnaud James Curutchet of Buffalo; four daughters, Katherine Hepp of Clearmont, Wyoming, Alberta Escoz and her husband Jean, Betty Rodriguez and her husband Antonio all of Buffalo and Anita Iriberry of Wright, Wyoming; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband two brothers and one grandson.
