Alcohol Compliance checks conducted by the Sheridan Police Department last week lead to three citations for sale of liquor to a minor.
The compliance checks were conducted by the police department using an underage decoy. Two businesses, which were not named in the police report, failed to properly check identification of the minor.
An additional citation was issued to an adult for furnishing alcohol to a minor.
The penalty for supplying a minor with alcohol includes fines ranging from $100 to $1,000, imprisonment in county jail for up to 1 year, or both.
A total of three individuals were issued citations.
