Donald Ray Arbogast, passed away Friday, December 30, 2017 at Westview Health Care Center. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2 pm.

He was born in Glendive, Montana, April 29, 1926 to William and Wreathel Arbogast. He attended schools at Wyola, and Lodgegrass, Montana. At 17, Don joined the Navy. He served aboard the Destroyer USS.Coghlan, DD606, in the South Pacific, during World War II.

He returned to Sheridan in 1947 and went to work as a mechanic for Ed Hammer Inc. He remained there until his retirement in 1988, (42 years).
Don was very proud of his military service to our country. He was a man who valued a job well done and always gave his all to whatever he took on. He was a considerate, caring man that would always think of the other person and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He had a loving relationship with his wife of 34 years, Joyce Arbogast.
Don is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, two sisters Lois and Merna, and one brother Roy. He is survived by his Wife Joyce; Daughter Shawnee Arbogast; three step-children Larry Greenwood, Linda Affinito, and Lois Bluemel; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
