18 fruit trees were planted yesterday in Buffalo’s first community orchard.

Governor Mark Gordon and Wyoming’s First Lady Jenny Gordon were on hand for the inaugural planting and, aided by a cadre of kids from the Boys & Girls Club of the Bighorns, helped plant two of those 18 trees.

Bread of Life Food Pantry Director Kelly Norris credited a number of organizations in making the state’s 14th community orchard a reality, but singled out the First Lady’s Hunger Initiative as the key element in the effort…

The new orchard is located on Lott Street just south of the Buffalo Golf Club and across the street from the Boys & Girls Club of the Bighorns.
