Recently, six astronomy students from Clear Creek Middle School returned from a national astronomy conference in Dallas, Texas.
Besides making a major impression to the hundreds of astronomers in attendance, the local eighth grade students earned a unique opportunity to visit an area at the NASA Space Station in Houston that is normally off limits to the public.

As a result of the opportunity, some of the students are contemplating a change in considering their future educational and career plans.
The young astronomers will soon be making a second trip, this time to Yerkes Observatory in Wisconsin to attend a high school conference.
